Did Colbert change the media?

Ever since Colbert did his bit for the White House Correspondents' dinner articles have been popping up all over the place about the event. Last week I saw a news report where they actually acknowledged the significance of Blogs. But today took the cake. On NBC's nightly news they showed how Bush said word for word exactly the same thing about Gen. Michael Hayden at his nomination that he did about Poter Goss. Then the part that I couldn't believe was Brian Williams actually credited this Daily Show clip. That is right the fake news scooped the (supposed) real news.

I am starting to wonder if the correspondents' dinner exposed to the media how they are being openly mocked and considered out of touch. Could Colbert have woken up the media? Probably not, but here is hoping.
